Proton Iswara Model
1999 Fiasco

The strangest
and funniest thing happens to my sister
today 4/16/2007 that I
thought I would like to share with our
fellow customer. I promise on my
dog's grave that everything from the below
is true. Goes like this....
My sister owns a green Proton Iswara that
she bought back in the year 1999
when she first graduated. The car at the
time was most pricey, cost about
~RM40K, and it took her 7 years to pay off
the junk. As all of us Proton
drivers know, our dear national car would
start giving us problems by the
time it reaches 5 years old, that if you are
really lucky.
So her car has
been giving her problem on and off for the
past few years. This morning was
raining really heavily and unfortunately she
found the carpet of her rear
seats wet, thinking it was a leak, she
brought it to the mechanic after
work. And to all of our surprises when the
mechanic took out the rear seats
and carpet, there laying on the bare car was
a plastic bag with a straw in
it, resembling a 'kopi ais' you have bought
from the 'kopi-tiam'.
We were like
"What the f***??" when she told us :-), and
laugh till we roll on the
ground.
So if you own a Proton, its time to take out
the carpet and check what is
underneath it. Could be money from Proton
for all you know :-).
Comments:
Bet one of the Proton worker must have taken lunch 7 years ago in the car while fixing the carpet. He felt thirsty, grapped a "teh tarik ais", finished it and must have accidently dropped it while nailing the carpet to the car.
Well that's not so bad, it's better to find out extra "things" in the car than missing "things" such as nuts or screws :p
