We have all seen
the Bumblebee
shooting all the
bad Decepticons
in the
Transformer
movie. I can’t
help it but fell
in love with it,
especially the
new Camaro 2009
that Bumblebee
transformed in
the middle of
the movie. Well,
I have taken the
liberty to
compile the
model history of
this car, which
I think the best
car coming from
American car
maker company,
period.

After two years
of watching the
Ford Mustang
enjoy tremendous
success, General
Motors finally
launched its
entry into the
pony car
segment, the
Chevrolet Camaro
in 1967.

1971 model. The
first generation
model.

1977 model. The
second
generation
model.

1983 model. The
third generation
model.

1999 model. The
fourth
generation
model.

2002 model. The
fourth
generation model
were produced
before
production ended
in the same
year. A new
Camaro is
expected to roll
off assembly
lines in 2009.

2009 model. This
is the model
used in the
Transformer
movie. The fifth
generation
model.

A bright orange
“Bumblebee”
Chevy Camaro
Concept that's
more than meets
the eye.
A Camaro in US
priced around
$30,000 figure,
slightly lower
than a new
Camry. With
Camry’s price
tag at ~RM150K
locally, and
considering the
Camaro is a
coupe and sport
car, adding in
some duties and
taxes here and
there, I think
it would fetch
the figure of at
least RM400K. If
you ever think
of owning it,
dream on. Now
that makes me
wish for a
falling
meteorite from
Cybertron at my
backyard.
By the way,
anyone know if
Chevrolet is
going to bring
in Camaro model
to Malaysia?
