Malaysia woke up to another shocking news today…………….. After 4 days our IGP still doesn’t know if the killed policemen on duty were on an authorized drug raid. You can read it
here.
We at luk4all are not trying to gain publicity with this sad news of the murdered policemen, but we definitely were surprised with this statement from our Police Chief, it just showed how inefficient the whole process are. I would assume a drug raid would definitely need to be authorized, and it had to be with the correct number of police force, with well armed firepower including bullet proof vest. It should be as simple as calling up the police chief of that area and confirmed with him/her if he has authorize the raid.
Any how we support the purchase of more bullet proof vest to protect our law enforcer, but we STRESS that if do not improve our process and effectiveness of our police force, the bullet proof vest will just end up collecting dust. We need to do something more.
After working in a MNC since graduating for the last 7 years, I strongly believe that the top management effectiveness is very important, and if the CEO after a very critical incident still doesn’t know how it happen, it just showed potentially the whole process is broken. Some things need to happen within the police force other than capturing the killers to ensure this incident won’t happen again.
Comments:
Just trying to cook up some conspiracy theory here.
Policemen went to raid without authorization, if catches the drug dealer, take some "coffee money" and letting go the suspect. If it's authorize, this will not happen and it goes down to the police record. If i am a cop (and honest one) going out and busting some drug dealers with death penalty waiting for them (and they will surely blast their way out, since if get caught they are dead anyway), i would certainly get some authorization to get either a bullet proof vest or more armed officers.
Make sense?

Sedih.
