Honda Accord 2008

I am sure many of you were very disappointed when Honda unveiled the 2006 Honda Accord. Well I was definitely expecting more than the minor touch up of the tail. Many of you might be thinking that Honda might have lost its accord’s touch and dominant?
If you have visited www.honda.com recently you would have noticed that Honda is about to unveiled the all new 268HP Accord, with the motto Beyond the Road. You can check it’s the dedicated Accord site here. We do not have many of the technical details except for the specs listed at the site as 268HP compare to the current Malaysian model that comes in variant for 2.0L@150HP, 2.4L@170HP and 3.0L@240HP.
Below is some of the edited picture of the Accord 2008. From the outlook of the picture, we are quite disappointed with the design of the sedan. I would personally thinks it’s is a little boring, too squarish, and Accord is loosing it X factor feels it has with the previous 2004 version. My first look and I thought shoot, it look just like a Korean car. Either way it could just means the Korean are catching up pretty fast.

would like
to point out
that the
coupe
version
looks much
better.

compared to
the sedan,
or could it
be just the
color?
The rear
design sure
looks
better.
However I do
find the
coupe
version
bears
certain
similarity
to Toyota
Solara.

Our conclusion,
Honda needs to
do better if it
want to mount a
real challenge
on Toyota’s
latest Camry. It
has a mountain
to catch, and
competitions is
not too far
behind. But
don’t worry
about Perdana,
it is decades
behind.

In fact, just for my education, has Proton stopped the Perdana model? Haven't seen any new Perdana (i mean newly bought with new plate number) lately. Also didn't hear any news that Proton is going to have Perdana replacement model.

It looks sucks ! What a dissapointment, almost a direct copy from Hyundai for the front and back is copying from Camry. I would suggest this car designer should have been FIRED !!!
Toyota has push out the release of new Altis so that they can put high focus on the new Camry. I am absolute confident that Camry will create another wave out from the market, and beating their competitors like shit ! The upcoming new Altis will be a slight modification from the old ones, however, it looks much more sporty and dynamic than the current ones.
Honda Civic is nearly lost the entire market in China, comes with this shit Accord, they will lost the entire battleground to rival Toyota.
Let's see how it goes !

From many review I have read it seem like All new Honda failed in few areas as better rival existed out there.
1) Outlook -- Camry simply wins and beat all
2) Price -- Sonata 2007 look like could fight for those in the middle decision. Look have been better too !
3) Fuel -- almost all of them( see USA data in edmund.com) have the same or very little differences
4) General view - Honda had a popular name but getting hard to hold as CAMRY and SONATA have different angle of advantages and getting equivalent popularity. I was quite amazed with how new SONATA appeared!
