Such Humility....

By Luk4all Editor

Posted 19th March 2008

Read in Harakah that our new PG CM has refused to move into the official CM residence as to avoid spending RM100k of Penang state money. WOW such humility, we at luk4all.com would like to salute our new CM for his actions. Hopefully there will be more prudent actions to come from our new CM, as mentioned in our previous post, the 5 states will be the model states for all other states and the future of Malaysia.

We salute you YAB LIM GUAN ENG, and we at luk4all.com fully supports you. You can read the article here. Summary below.

Guan Eng enggan keluar RM100 ribu

Abdul Halim Mohd Rashid

BTW would llke to also share an interesting assesement from Michael Ooi on why BN lost here. Enjoy.

I don’t know about you people but, I noticed that there has been a flurry of VIPs coming out to make really inane statements to mitigate the coalition’s embarrassing performance in the 2008 general election. I’ve taken the trouble to compile this up…

Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz
Barisan Nasional should conduct a post-mortem on the shocking losses in the 12th general election

Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam
post-mortem would be carried out to determine the cause of the losses here including the effects of an increase in opposition representation in the state legislature.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
Barisan Nasional will appoint an independent panel to do a post- mortem of the results of the 12th general election

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein
The Barisan Nasional has to be introspective and assess what caused it to lose several states and seats in the general election

Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting
we will conduct a very thorough and in-depth study into all the factors that led to such results.

Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin
The political tsunami that occurred during the general election provides an important lesson to Umno and the national leaders

Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah
The Umno supreme council must do its homework soon to find the root causes of these problems and weed them out before it is too late

I was like DUHHHHHH! Like, where have they been lah??
This is akin to, being hit by a train and not knowing
a) what hit them
b) why were they hit

I wonder what else do they need, another 3 billion ringgit of tax money to set up a royal commission to investigate the root cause of their loss? This is ludicrous man.

Speaking of being ludicrous, there’s another nincompoop that beckons for some attention today. Here, read this:

Call to scrap mega projects

PENANG: The state Umno will “persuade” the Federal Government to scrap all the mega projects in the state in view of the people’s clear rejection of Barisan Nasional.

Since Penangites do not want development, the Federal Government should not force it on them, said state Umno liaison committee secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim.

He said that this was not Penang Umno taking revenge “but we are actually giving the people what they want”.

“They voted for change, so let us see what the DAP can do,” he said after the party’s emergency meeting at Menara Umno yesterday.

Azhar, who is Penaga assemblyman, was appointed the state Opposition Leader at the meeting.

Meanwhile, Umno liaison committee deputy chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Abdullah hit out at the new administration for its decision not to practise the New Economic Policy (NEP).

This guy actually thinks that we Penangite didn’t vote Barisan Nasional because we do not want development. We must have wanted to go naked and live on trees all these while. Unfuckingbelievable, isn’t it? This coming from a Datuk.

Clearly, all those Datuks don’t get it. Good news for them is, they don’t really need to spend a single cent to find out why they lost so many seats in the general election. The answer’s just a few clicks away, if only they know how to Google. Well if they don’t, they can refer the following points:
Barisan Nasional kalah banyak kerusi kerana 4 faktor:
- Rasuah (Corruption)
- Angkuh (Arrogance)
- kurang Kompetensi (Incompetency)
- kurang Pintar (Stupidity) - see quoted article above for example.

There. No more mystery now.

Pak Lah's son-in-law, Khairy played a big role (in the B.N'sdefeat). This young man who has no experiences achievements before but apparently the PM listens to him. said Mahathir at a press conference

Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today his hand-picked successor Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has "destroyed" the ruling coalition after the March 2008 disastrous weekend elections.

Malaysians support the call for the newly sworn-in PM to take responsibility for the disastrous result in the 2008 election and to offer his resignation. It is then up to Umno to decide whether to accept his resignation or not . The example set by the former CM of Penang, Dr. Koh to offer his resignation but rejected by his party is the one that the country needs to emulate in our understanding of basic leadership privilege and responsibility.

The Umno head has his supreme council members to discuss, brainstorm and deliberate on matters (of course, with unlimited access to all experts and consultants) and to come up with a good decision. But once a decision is made , it is clear that the responsibility and accountability of the outcome rest with him as head. The Umno head is not one amongst equal in the supreme council and therefore carries the privilege and responsibility of leading.

The PM’s vague grasp of the above concept has left the country in confusion and frustration . His ministers also play the game of follow the leader and do not accept responsibility for the ills of their ministries. Likewise heads of department follow their ministers.

As a result countless committees and commissions are formed but in the meanwhile the problems remain and no one takes responsibility! Until today , we do not know who is responsible for handling the worsening traffic jams in the Klang Valley. Is it any surprise tBN is rejected by the people ?

We must press the message that whilst the PM, ministers, head of departments and mayors of cities have the privilege to lead (and of course the perks that go with it), they must also be responsible for the outcome of their performance.

And not attribute it to the committee they chair and lead. If a bungle is made, they must offer to resign.

So Pak Lah ,do accept Datuk Seri Mahathir's and the 50% of the Ra'ayat's decision. You should resign.

Give the new faces a chance if they have proven themselves in other ways perhaps in their profession or vocation or as community activists. Their service to the community is proof of their diligence and sincerity. Vote in the new faces because they can't do worse. They will be a voice for the people. Spread the word. Use word of mouth. Explain to the people why the Barisan government does not deserve to win with a convincing majority. If in doubt who to vote for, vote for the opposition because it is the only way you may get a voice. After all, the government already taken 10 parliament seats even before the race starts. But a strong opposition will ensure the government does not get away with murder and continue to act like a big bully. This election is the start of the revolution to oust all those who abuse their positions and make a mockery of the rule of law and destroy the racial fabric of the country, who rape and rob the country. An ******* state can't be a nation of thieves and liars. Remember that no one can make you a slave unless you give them the power. Every sensible Malaysian should do what is right and kick out those who have used politics to rob and rape the country and destroy religion. The government has given ***** a bad name and turned the Malays into the handicapped race. It is time to show the world what the Malay race does not need to be unfair to others to win. It makes me ashamed to be a Malaysian. But clipping the wings of the government is one way to redeem my lost honour. I have asked all my friends and relatives to vote against the government and we will continue to do this whatever the outcome of this elections because we want the world to know that not all Malaysians, Malays, Indians, Chinese, Sarawakian or Sabahan support this government's bad policies and corrupt ways. Everyone should do the same. If you vote for the government again don't ever let me hear you utter a single word of complaint about unfairness or crime or high prices of goods etc because you asked for it. You dug the hole for yourself and your children so you only have yourself to blame.

BN is playing football again, but this game they are passing the ball around. not worth our time talking about sportsmanship to kiddies right ? cheh !

they ought to go back to school as my ex-CEO termed it as a bad job done (i think they are still in kindergarden judging by their qualifications and commented statements).

we need a representative who has a fore-sight for better future for malaysian or posses the courage to stand up for the rakyat, not for someone who can *ber-pantun, think for themselves or newspapaer headliner wannabes*.

**i have a few suggestion for their current objectives.
1. be a singer
2. go snap cute photo and post on facebook
3. run around nakedly

i'm sure they will have my supports if they are into the 3 suggestions mentioned above. ~cheers
