Do you fancy a SUV? Or a luxury SUV? Check out the latest so call ‘Small’ SUV from Mercedes. Although the car is bill as 2009 Mercedes Benz GLK, rumors has it that it will be on road world wide starting August 2008. Any guess from any of our readers when we will first see the car on our shores? We promise a small gift to any one who can sent us photo of the car seen on Malaysian.

 

 

The apparently ‘SMALL’ SUV is currently Mercedes’ answer to BMW X3 and Volvo XC60. The car will be measuring 4.5 meters long and will be based on C-Class platform, from our research this is the same as the X3 which is based on the 3-series platform. The Mercedes is currently specs at 2.2L 4 cylinder diesel engine that will produce 204Hp.

 

The GLK will have a trunk of 450Liters (compared to the current Nissan X-trail of 410L) and a tank size of 80L, which work out to whopping of RM153.6 for a full tank of petrol. The car is expected to be priced at around 36,000 Euros, which will work out to be approximately RM166K, but of course with all sort of taxes, AP and what not, we are sure it will cost no less than RM300K.
