Proton's Coffin

Before you continue reading this blog, I
would like to sincerely apologies if
this article offend anyone.
Yesterday was a joyous day for all
Malaysian, Malaysian most eligible
bachelor is getting married. Though we
knew it was a private ceremony, my
mother and I was glued to the television
on a Saturday night, waiting for a
glimpse of the private ceremony on the
8pm news. We weren’t disappointed when
RTM showed video clips of the wedding.
One of the first few video clips was the
new couple in a slick black Mercedes
Benz. The first comment that came out
from my mother was, why aren’t they
using our Proton Perdana, is the car no
good?
Though it was a private ceremony, I
guess people who holds public office are
examples to the "rakyat". They are the
trend setter whether it official duties
or personal affairs. It is just like
movie star and singers, normal regular
people just like to follow their
example. And one example that was
displayed yesterday is if you have
enough cash, get a foreign car, a little
bit extra get a Honda City or Vios, a
little more get an Accord or Camry, or
if you are the super rich, get a BMW or
Benz, only if you cannot afford it, get
a Proton.
Sad isn’t it, you rarely see people
using proton as their wedding cars
anymore, either on the road or TV.
Comments:
I have to agree with the editor. I believe our leaders are the true example of normal citizen. It would be great some day to really see our leaders to do what they preach, don't big talk....walk the talk.

For whatever reasons that our PM is not using Proton as his wedding car is immaterialize. Most importantly is, he is escorted wherever he goes. He has no such worries as his poor citizen on the road.
Citing the recent car robbery case in JB. The man was beated up severely and his girfriend was rapped. I am sure 99.9% of car lady owners are well aware that we no longer safe on the road. The robbery case was so rampantly happened throughout the entire Malaysia now. This poor victim called up the nearest police station, it was kicked away to request him call Tampoi, the Tampoi police station kicked him out and requested him to call JB central police station. After this back and forth dragging feet, they finally get raped and beaten !! The only fortunate thing is, they are still alive.
So, our dear fellow Malaysia citizen, who pays for the police salary ??? Who pays for the lavish police stations ? Who pays for the minister's big big bangalow and chaffeur?
In this case, will the government investigate why police stations are kicking around the balls ? I think the government is so busy to rescue the illing Proton company than putting their focus on the citizen's life.
Many years ago, Mr Lee commented JB is the most notorous city in Malaysia due to the elavated crime rate. After so many years past, what have been improved ?

Our national leader must show a good example by using the national brand- Proton during his or her function .Instead ,they are using luxurious foreign cars as their official /private outings ! They MUST show a good example to the ra'yat by using the Protons !!!It is really a big shame on the national car -Proton !What is your opinion ?

Our leaders just TALK but no ACTION done ! How do they expect to lead the Malaysian into the year 2020 ?

Well Callum speaks my mind. What i see is that, how our country is being run is exactly how Proton is being run. After so many years and complaints on the quality of Proton (my own wira has noise after 2 weeks and the power windows malfunction after 5 months), no actions and improvements being taken.
Well, if we put that into our country perspective, after so many complaints by our citizen (robbery cases, corruptions, traffic jams, rape cases, these are all the news in the newspaper nowadays) and even after other foreign leaders pointed out our flaws, our leaders kept keeping an eye close. Also, our country is having a critical brain drain to other countrys (at least Singapore leaders are smart enough not to make this statement, as they know this is good for their country. Well i dont blame them though), but our leaders are pretending that this never happens.
They JUST never learnt. As a Malaysian, i feel so sad and hurt, that affter 50 years of independance, i think our country is moving backwards. 2020 or 2057 is just going to be our unreachable dream,,, if we dont do something about this, else we would just kept getting more "empty" visions...2087, 3007, 3057....the list goes on...on and on ...
We will always get what we always have if we always do the same thing we do. If we want a change, we should do/try something new or differently. So vote smartly in the coming electin.

Do we Malaysian really need the PRESENT TEAM of leaders who always practice TAIK only and no real ACTIONS taken after 50 years of independent? They can't even managed a simple project properly like the national car -Proton ! How do we expect this team of people to steer the entire nation towards the year 2020 ?May be we Malaysians have to wait until the year 3030!!! I am not offencing any one but it is a truth ! Other countries have progress tremendously after been independent for over 50 years , why not our beloved homeland - Malaysia ?

We have see, heard, adviced by our Malaysian leaders to love and buy barang barang keluaran tempatan, but these leaders never practice themselves, instead they are using highly price and luxurious foreign imports including cars ! These leaders just only TALK TALK TALK but no action taken ! Do they think we Malaysian were stupid lots ? These people and their forefathers has been leading Malaysians through 50 years of independent but the country has been running backwards instead of going forward ! Do we really need these talk- only leaders to lead us again! Come on ,Malaysians don't be fool again by these people ,show them our dissatisfaction in the coming election and teach them a lesson ! Come on , Malaysian Bolih !!!!!

Sometimes i just wonder, we have our neighbor (dont want to say who, you should know it) as the best example to follow, from 3rd world country -> developing country -> developed country in a such a short time. Just learn from them how they achieve it. It's just something that is right below their noses, but they just pretend NOT to see it.
1 thing for sure. Their elected representative (ministers)have at least 2 degree holder (i got this information somewhere in the net, can't recall where), but just look at our own backyard, they are bunch of "un-educated" people (can see from they way they debate). That's NOT how you run a country (or a company) or a country being run by these "guys". You need smart people that comes up with creative ideas/improvements. Just like how an engineers resolve a technical roadblocks. That's why you need smart and a genius to be our leaders.
PS: Apologize if i'd make some people mad, but i would like to stress that not all of our parliment members (ministers) are "un-educated". Some of them do indeed fight for our citizen rights during the debates. To them, my hats go to you. Keep up the good work.

Malaysians mesti bolih !!! CINTAILAH MALAYSIA KITA !

First of all, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Luk4All management for granting us for publishing this subject.
Foremost, I would like to stress that I have no means to instigate the public, either, I did not over exaggerated the situation. I am, neither, not a DAP member, in fact, I have been supported BM for many elections in the past elections!
I am sure the rakyat knows what I am talking about over here, in the nutshell, all rakyat Malaysia is requesting the government to give us a peaceful country, a country that all of us are proud of, a country that other nations are admire of.
Back to the recent JB rob/rape case, the police had finally caught the robbers, at last. My 1 million dollar question here is, why the nearby police stations and Tampoi stations are not entertaining the victims when they cry for help ? The rakyat of JB should demand an explanation from the police !!
Statistically, does our country police/population ratio is understaffed ? The answer is NO !! Based on the statistics shown, our police/population ratio is 1:283. The world standard measurement for developed country is 1:300. In other words, we are well within this requirement. Below is the statistics table for various countries for our reference :
(Country) (police:population ratio)
Australia 1:457
Canada 1:550
Denmark 1:512
England 1:429
Finland 1:633
France 1:474
Germany 1:343
Hong Kong 1:206
India 1:966
Ireland 1:326
Italy 1:179
Japan 1:550
South Korea 1:524
Malaysia 1:283
Netherlands 1:504
Norway 1:403
Portugal 1:204
Spain 1:342
Switzerland 1:495
Thailand 1:282
United States 1.410
As u can see, some well developed country like Switzerland, their police/population ratio of 1:495, and yet becomes the model reference country to the world ! WHY ? It's all boils down to the well managed and well structured police systems in their country.
Now, back to the notorous illing government owned Proton has recently loss 600millions ringgit over the past 9 months, this translates to 2 millions in A SINGLE DAY !
My dear rakyat Malaysia, what do u think ? Do we think our face value is so important so as to rescue this illing company than restoring the well being of rakyat Malaysia ? Where is our priority ?
Malaysia is facing a lot of "potholes" all over the area, the government needs to "think out of the box" to revive the country, to restore the confident from the rakyat of Malaysia.
In conclusion, who should we be voting in the coming election ? I am sure all of us knows the answer.
My 2-cent comments.....Callum...KL

wow that is good statistic, i always tot our police force are under headcount
6/19/2007 7:33:49 AM | dream
Pak Lah debated that we are under staff, in fact, the government is going a massive recruitment of police with an addition of 22,000 police. Does this resolve the problem ??
I think the government should set a HEAVY PUNISHMENT to those who involved in car robbery case. For example, 20 year jail or dead punishment shall be imposed in order to restore the public confident.

I can see 3 issues we have to resolve here:
1) Economy: If the country economy is bad, many people will be out of job. The same goes to inflation, poor people are becoming more poorer.
2) Police: If we have even 1:10 ratio, but our fellow policeman still have the "tidak apa", "biasalah", "tutup satu mata" attitude, it's only making matter worst. This is not helping. Adding insult to injury, corruptions are happening everywhere.
3) Punishment: Like what Callum said, we need to enforce stricter and harsher punishment. Rape and murder to the teaching of Buddhist has the same severity. Thus both should have the same punishments, death penalty.
