Proton's Latest Iswara
Model

A lot
has been
said
about
our
latest
offering
from
Proton,
the name
(Proton
Persona),
performance
and even
spy shot
has been
appearing
in car
enthusiast
website.
While
everyone
else is
taking
about
this
about to
be
launched
Proton
‘Persona’,
one of
our avid
readers
sent us
a spy
shot of
another
supposedly
next
offering’s
from
Proton.
The
reader
mentioned,
he was
on his
way back
to
Penang
from
Ipoh
when he
noticed
2 cars
in
front,
with
parts
covered.
The at
the back
he could
easily
make up
as the
latest
offering
from
Proton,
the
supposedly
Proton
Persona,
but the
car in
front is
some
thing he
has
never
seen
before.
Quickly
he asked
his wife
to snap
a couple
of shot
of the 2
cars.
According
to him,
the
driver
of the
protons
seeing
them
taking
photograph,
quickly
took the
next
exit
out,
which
was the
Bukit
Merah
exit.
The
white
car on
the left
is
clearly
the Gen2
sedan,
however
check
out the
almost
black
car on
the
right.

Over
taking
the 2
cars.

Another
shot
from the
front.

Both the
car
exiting
at the
Bukit
Merah
exit.
Rumor
(from
our
source
when we
show him
the
picture)
has it
that the
car is
going to
be the
replacement
for our
dear
Iswara.
Finally
the
curtains
is
coming
down on
our good
old
design
after so
many
years of
service.
Anyway
heard
that it
is going
to be
running
on
Campro
engine
as well,
the
story is
Mitsubishi
will not
be
supplying
any more
engines
to
Proton.
So does
that
means we
will be
seeing
the 1.3L
version
of the
Campro……
Well
only
time
will
tells.
Comments:
Yeah, finally we can have a better sporty Iswara compare to the squarish designs. Hopefully it will still sell at sub RM30K. As for the Gen2 Sedan, dont think it will make a big impact to the car market. Still look like the old Gen2, but with a "butt" this time.

doesn't make a different any more, i think most malaysian has lost faith in it.

No matter what model of car the Proton produce again will not interest the Malaysians again because we have been again and again fooled by Proton since the past 20 years ! The anounced new model produced is just like a mixtures of our favorite Malaysian food ---- the ROJAK ! The model just look like pieces of junks which were assembled together using parts from the waja ,gen2, iswara, etc. Does Proton think it will interest the general public ?

Are these new Proton models the scrap junks produced by Proton again?

I don't think the new Proton model will make the hot deal in the market.Even the lower prices among the same range of cars in the market , I think majority will prefer to choose the other branded cars instead of the "Problems & Troublesomes" local product. The Proton Models only can considered as the budjeted car but not the expected dream car !

come on guys, time to have some confidence in our local companay :) I think proton is doing better this days, compare to say, 5 years ago. Lets see if this model will make up to what it has lost these years.

I'm wondering why proton didn't try to grab a slice of the market when malaysian bommbered with mpv car like myvi, avanza etc.. they never follow the market trend... their MPV Juara is stupid... 1000cc auto, expensive, kotak, funny looking car.. if only they make it wider, and the cc at least 1.3 with the same pricing.. i bet it will attract more buyer..
**(when can i ever see proton's 4X4 double cab)
